ln this section of the test, you will have the chance to show how well you understand spoken English. There are 4 parts to this section. With special directions for each part.
Part I. Pictures
Questions: 1 to 3
Directions:
For each item, there is a picture in your test book and four short statements about it on the tape. They are spoken two times. and are NOT WRITTEN out on your test book, so you must listen carefully. You must choose one statement -- (A), (B), (C), or (D) -- that best describes the picture. Then, on your answer sheet. mark- your choice.
Example:
Look at the picture and listen to the four sentences.
A. The girls are wearing the coat
C. They are discussing something
D. The girl is standing near the wall
Narator : Choice (C) – “They are discussing something ” - best describes what is seen in the picture. Therefore, you should mark (C) on your answer sheet.

B. The woman is writing something on the board

3. . look at the picture marked no 3
A. He has a long hair.
B. He is combing his hair.
C. He is wearing a long socks.
D. He is wearing long sleeved T- shirt.
Part II: Question – response
Questions 4 to 7.
Directions : In this part of the test, you will hear several questions spoken in English, followed by three responses, also spoken in English. The questions and responses will be spoken two times. They will not be printed in your test book, so you must listen carefully to understand what the speakers say. You have to choose the best response to each question.
Now listen to a sample question :
You hear : “Will you be here this summer?”
You will also hear :
A. Yes. Summer is my favorite season.
B. Yes. They will be here soon.
C. No, I won’t. I plan to visit my family.
Choice ( C ) – “No, I won’t. I plan to visit my family” – is the appropriate response to the question – “Will you be here this summer?”. Therefore, you should mark ( C ) on your answer sheet.
Now let’s begin part two, Question – response.
4. I need to improve my English score. What do you suggest?
A. Keep more practice on it
B. Try to be more economical
C. I don’t like such an impolite guest.
5. Which one do you prefer ? listening music or reading books?
A. I will lend you some lesson books
B. I like listening to music very much.
C. Yes, sure. This house looks proper for us.
6. Why don’t you join the dancing and singing club?
A. Your voice sounds great.
B. I never try clubbing at the pub
C. I’d love to, but I’m not good at both of them.
7. Excuse me, I will go to the library. Could you tell me the way, please?
A. Yes, library can lend some books
B. Yes, tell me the problem, please.
C. Go up to the second floor, it’s right on your left
PART III: Short Conversation.
Questions 8 to 11 refer to the following directions
Directions :
In this part of the test, you will hear several short conversations.. You will hear the conversations two times, The conversations will not be printed in your test book so you must listen carefully to understand what the speakers say. In your test book, you will read a question about each conversation. The question will be followed by four answers. You have to choose the best answer to each question and mark it on your answer sheet.
Example :
You will hear :
Girl : Are you sixteen yet?
Boy :Not yet, but my birthday is in March.
Girl :When in March?
Boy :It is March 20th.
You will read : What do you learn from the conversation ?
A. The girl is sixteen years old.
B. The boy is twenty years old.
C. The boy was born in March.
D. The girl’s birthday is March 20.
Choice (C) – “The boy was born in March” – best answers the question – “What do you learn from the conversation? Therefore, you should mark ( C ) on your answer sheet.
Now let’s begin part two, Short Conversation .

9. woman : What thing do you usually do at the first time after getting up?

PART IV: Short talk.

Directions:
In this part of the test, you will hear several short talks. Each will be spoken two times. They will not be printed in your test book, so you must listen carefully to understand and remember what is said.
In your test book, you will read two or more question about each short talk. Each question will be followed by four answers. You have to choose the best answer to each question and mark it on your answer sheet.
